Boys, why don’t you tell the truth?
After so many years of attending co-ed school, college and of course university even today I am not able to understand the peculiar behavior of boys.

A very common dialogue among the boys is “I am not after her”.However, they would give their 100% to impress a girl in one hand and in the other hand they would brand it to their friends that the girl is not of their “type”. What is their “type” then? Is anyone of them really clear about their “type”?

These guys would never step behind to join the rat race of spending thousands to impress a girl only to justify the thousands as time-pass. Time pass by spending money to impress someone! Don’t u boys have any other hobbies for time pass?

Another funny thing is that they never fail to show the height of patience in bearing girl’s “Nakhras”. However, the same guy would advise his friends, colleagues and juniors not to give “Bhau” or stand any of their “Nakharas”.

And if a boy senses some soft signal from a girl having being impressed after a long endeavor of playing the impressing game by him, he proudly though smartly manipulates the secret that it is actually the girl showing interest on him- not him.

I have seen many boys pleading their sisters, cousins, and friends to get a girlfriend for them because they don’t have time to search one for themselves. If they don’t have time to find their soul mate then how would they manage to go with them for a date and of course for shopping?Actually, the reason is that, they have tried with all in their close but did not get a positive response.

One of the very common complaints of the boys who have already succeeded in their mission of having a girlfriend is that the girls use to talk too much and that too on nonsense and stupid topics. However, u can find the same guy calling the customer care every now and then just to find out the new schemes on low call rates, SMS schemes, night call schemes etc to talk to their girlfriends and listen to those so called “nonsense and stupid topics”.

Boys, don’t blow up. Exceptions are definitely there and I must say u guys are actually risk takers in maximum love stories- otherwise many love stories could not have a happy end.

But at least don’t tell lie yaar. JJJJJ

Luckiest and most daring man in India:):)

Nation’s chief executive is a blessed man to have two women in his life and even luckiest one to be able to announce it publicly. Very few Indian males have the guts to speak about such personal issue so openly. Indian men might be jealous of him and cursing their luck.    Lauding openly two women in his life could really be a difficult task for a man and it becomes even difficult when he has to credit just one of them for his success. Victory is the most important thing in Indian politics as well as in Indian families. A woman always wants to win the title of “most sacrificed woman” in her man’s life

In Indian society, the normal tendency of a woman is to drive her husband’s life in her own way- starting from his food habit, dressing sense, money management to each and every area. After certain age she tries to do it with her son’s life and always stand ahead to take the full credit for his achievements. The problem of a man starts here. Who to give the word of thanks publicly? Mom or Wife? This is not a single instance of tug of wars between two women. But often a man find himself sandwiched between his good friend (of course a girl) and his girlfriend or between his lady boss and wife.

Even I am not an exception. I keep asking my hubby who is a better cook- my mother-in–law or me? He has always answered me in a diplomatic way. I am sure he has the answer but does not dare to give the right one.

In the last press conference, the Prime Minister of our country, Mr Manmohan Singh, admitted that he has two women in his life who have influenced his life a lot. He briefed about the benefits he has derived by following the advice of these two women– his wife Gursharan Kaur and Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Both of them counsel him on different matters.  However, I don’t know what were the consequences of these statements after he had gone home?

But I must declare he is not only a lucky but also a very courageous man!!

Bollywood doctors-Life is going to be hell for you:):)

Yup!! I am back. It is my first article in this year. It has been a very happening and eventful year for me till now. I got married to my sweetheart in Jan 31st after overcoming a short cold battle with my parents. I am really thankful to everyone who supported me during this tough phase of my life. But today I can say “All izzz well that ends well”

My dad and my cool father-in-law enjoy each other’s company. They love to talk about today’s generation (their attitude, blunders bla bla). My mom has got a Damadji” who she thinks to be more polite and gentle than me. Being  a writer(I think of myself—hahaha) my main focus is to bring about the reality in front of everyone irrespective of the taste- sweet or bitter. I hope she understands why I am so un-polite and un-gentle. Deepika, my sis-in-law with whom I really enjoy sharing all girlie talks. So everything seems going on in a perfect track.

BlogDosts, I apologize for the long hibernation. The delay was basically due to the confusion in picking up a very spicy topic for you. So many things have happened in the last few spans of months---WOW. Lots of travel, lots of  new people around, lots of  new and full of surprising activities going around and many more. I was really at a dilemma about what to write and what not to. I really felt very nostalgic when I had visited my in- laws place in Assam. Wow!! the same place, the same green valley with huge mountains standing far away at the horizons, the same place where I have spend  some of my most memorable childhood years! It’s here where I have started my schooling! It’s  the place where I had studied up to the 4th std! It’s the place where my school still stands there to witness my first encounter with the world of friend and friendship. Yes, it is the place where I  had made friendship with the first friend of  my life! Above all, this place is now again going to be etched in my life as the  birth place of my husband! But simultaneously it made me upset when I saw the grim situation of the North- East.[ Going to tell u in my very next topic.]

But yesterday afternoon while laying on the bed while listening to “Tera naina”, a song from “My name is khan’ in radio fm, suddenly this topic came to my mind. The long confusion has just come to an end at last. I have decided to pen it down and share with u all.

Like many Indians I am an absolute sucker of Hindi movies. Life changes as time passes. While I was at school, I never used to miss any movies broadcasted in the channel DD2 at 9pm every Saturday and Sunday. In college, specially, during my MTech days I had used to bunk classes and accompanied friends to non ac cinema halls to watch movies even though it was a flop movie. Today as I am earning, use to frequent theatre halls like Adlabs and Inox. However, I sometimes end up with DVDs and online movies due to scarcity of time. But love for movie has not changed a bit. It is still same and this love has helped me to notice some unremarkable changes in our Bollywood films. Changes are inevitable .So same for Bollywood also. Bollywood movies have changed a lot in every dimension like dressing, choreography, dialogues, shooting locations etc.

One more change that I have noticed and which I believe u guys too would agree with me are the uncommon and unheard diseases the hero is diagnosed with in modern Hindi films. Once upon a time heroes used to suffer from disease like TB and Cancer. But today the situation has become slightly different.  Now-a-days, the name of the diseases that a hero is diagnosed with in most of the modern movies cannot even be properly pronounced by the common man instantly let alone knowing what the disease actually is.

We have seen our cute Darshael in “Tare Zamin Mein” was suffering from Dyslexia. Amir khan was suffering from short term memory i.e. Anterograde Amnesia in “Ghazni”. Amitav Bachhan suffered from Alzheimer's disease in “Black”. Only few years back Sharukh Khan was suffering from cancer in “Kal Ho Na Ho”.  But  in “My Name is Khan” he was an  Asperger  patient.

We need to go Google-ing to understand all these medical terms. And one more thing if you would have noticed is that these protagonist in the old movies are tried to cure by doctors. They had to visit their doctor regularly- like Sharukh and Rajesh Khanna went  to doctors for their medical checkups in “Kal Ho Na Ho” and “Anand” respectively. However, today in the modern movies, they do not need doctors and their medicines as well, to get rid of those unheard diseases. What they want is just love and support from their loved ones.  Like Rani Mukherjee supported Amitabh in “Black”, Kajol supported Sharukh in “My name is Khan”, Jia Khan took care of Amir in “Ghajni” and Amir’s love in “Tare Zameen Mein” gave strength to Darsheel. What could be the actual reason for this sudden change? Well we can do a real debate on this topic later on but now what I feel is that the character of a doctor in Bollywood movies is at stake. The day might not be too far away when doctors in Bollywood would be a history. If things are going on like this, Bollywood doctors have to think about some new job. My best wishes are with them.

THE SEVEN@HANGLA'S HANGOUT RESTAURANT

One rainy evening in nov@7.45pm-

Scene 1
“Hey this is the restaurant, Hangla’s hangout. Cease the car here”, I shouted with excitement, pointing at a free space.
“Are u sure, dear”, A soft voice tried to confirm the restaurant.
“Yeh, it is."
“Ok, I will pick u after two hrs."
“Please listen, give Anu a cup of milk with bourbon biscuits, it is her favorite.”
“Ok, u don worry. enjoy yourself.”
The car started and turned back

Scene 2-
“Hello madam, sir is waiting for u in the upstairs”, a young man informed me in a very gentle manner. He was in orange shirt and black color trouser.

“It is still the same dress code after 10 long yrs”, I thought.

I went upstairs with my mind encountering lots of unknown excitements and curiosity as I climbed the stairs. I saw a table with 7 chairs of which two were empty.Suddenly a guy had come to me. He was wearing a navy turtleneck shirt with cream color trouser having one pleat.
“Why are u so late?” the guy demanded. “Aren’t we supposed to meet at 6.30 pm?”

He was impatient.

“You didn’t come by 201, right? Dont give any excuse”, a lady with specs claimed.. The extremely high power lens in her specs were creating some kind of deep tunnels somewhere inside the lens and her eyes appeared to be popping out from those tunnels than usual due to the effect.

“No actually I was caught in traffic jams in BT road”, I tried to prove my innocence.
“How are u Bhaswar”, I asked the guy.
“As u see”, Bhaswar told with a cute smile.
“Bhaswar is now one of the top hoteliers in Kolkata”, the lady with spec lauded.
“Ur love for food has brought u to this position, Bhaswar”, I said
“I remember those old days when u had the complete database of every restaurant in our locality. And every alternate day u had convinced us to go out and try the food of different restaurants in salt lake.”

I sat beside the lady. The lady was in long flowing gowns in silver lame.
“U have changed a lot, Swati”, I told her.
“yeh, she is now Documentum head of TCS.”,a guy wearing peach blue shirt sitting opposite to me responded.
“Badal da, plz don’t pull my legs”, Swati said adjusting her specs properly.

“Really Swati I am very happy for u I have seen ur dedication and love for Documentum technology. What abt ur hubby? how is he?”

“He has become a very responsible dad now. I have to move here and there for conference. He is looking after our sons at that time”, Swati replied.

“Really! U have twins, right? In which classes they are now?”

“They are in nursery.”

In the mean time I had played my eyes over the interiors of the restaurant. It was really beautiful. It had really changed a lot. Bhaswar had really done a good job. I could remember those days when we used to come to this restaurant during most of the occasions. Bhaswar took the charges and changed its name to hangla’s hangout. Actually Titash had suggested him this name It made me little bit emotional. I could not control my feelings in front of the others.

“This is our favourite restaurant Bhojo Hari manna, do u all remember?” I told.

“yeh u r right.” the lady with pink shiffon sari replied.

The lady again started talking over her phone. She was wearing dozens of bangles in both of her hands. Her bindi and lipstick were well matched with her pink sari. she really looked like a pink-fairy.

“What happened to titash?” Badal questioned.
“Give him a call.”Badal told Bhaswar.

“oh congrats Badal, you hav won the nobel prize for documentum technology. we are really proud of u.” I said.
“yeh the year 2019 is really a special year for me.” Badal smiled.
“congrats to u also. ur last novel has hit the market with a buster .” Badal patted me.
“Thanks dear”.
“Hey mamta, ur love for ph is still the same”, I said her
“no no actually the call was from my son’s school.” she replied.

“really!”, badal asked

“He is so naughty u can’t believe. Every day I get a call from his teachers with some new complaints”.
“Really mamta, ph and u have some unique connection. 10 yr ago u were busy with friends and now with ur son’s teachers.” The guy who was sitting opposite to Swati said.

He was Arnab. He was wearing a one buttoned blazer having blue shades. We all started giggling

“Hey ur salwar is so nice.” Mamta pointed my salwar.
“Thanks, it’s putu’s choice”, I replied happily.
“He was having a conference in jaipur last month. he bought this from there”.

“Salwar is really very gorgeous.” Swati said
“Thanks”.
“During the course of time putu learnt to buy ladies wear.” I thought.

The white salwar kameez is really beautifully crafted with antique golden rust, yellow & maroon stones work design on neck. Dupata has the traditional rajasthani chunri style dyed in red color. Churidar pajama is of printed silk material

“Badal da u invited Arnab to the international documentum 2019 conference but not me. It’s not fair.” Swati complained.

“He was in California at that time.” Badal explained.
“Swati u have not changed at all. U still believe Badal is more partial towards me.” Arnab said with a serious tone.
“no no actually….” Swati did not get any words to explain.

“hey forget it. Arnab we want to listen ur love story.” I told.

“I remember we used to search a gf for u.” Mamta told with the best of her voice.
We all started laughing.

“Yeh, tell us how did u complete the mission?” Badal questioned.
Arnab knew he had to answer. so he responded without wasting the time.
“As all of u know i got a chance to go onsite after a long wait.”

“It was a documentum project.”
“ok” Bhaswar continuously trying titash in the phone.

“Martina my wife was the client of that project, During that time we used to talk a lot about projects requirements. And slowly we became good friends. Code was doing well in UAT as well as in PRODUCTION. We went for a dinner to celebrate this and that day she proposed me .I didn’t think twice and said yes to her.”

“Really!” we were all listening his story with full concentration
“We married then and for last 7 yrs I am staying there.” He continued.
“I left TCS and working in same company with Martina. I come down to India once in a year. Thats all.”
“gr8 love story.” I told.

“What about ur daughter.” mamta asked me
“Anwesha is in class 1 in Delhi Public School.”
“really”.
“hey ur book price is so high”,Swati again complained
“I already had a talk with penguin publication. They will lower the price for my next novel”.

“I remember those days when we were in same project and in lunch break, tea break u always marketed ur blog and insisted us to read and give comment in ur blog.” Badal said.

“yeh. ha ha.” I started laughing

“Where is the manager babu?” Mamta asked
“Hey what happen to titash, its already 8.30 pm?” I asked angrily.

“I called in his home phone. His son told that titash was not at home as he had many work today. He has already left home abt 1 hr ago.” Bhaswar explained

“Oh my god ,the same reason. he used to give when we were calling him for tea 10 yrs ago”,I said.

“Hey here is the titash.” Bhaswar announced.

Titash was in denim jeans and maroon colored round neck Tshirt

“Hi manager babu.” I asked
“Areeee I am sorry I had some work.” Titash said.
“oh it’s ok we know its ur inbuilt dialogue, how is ur account doing?” Badal asked
“Yeh ur now GL of PLCS account. gr8 yaar.” Arnab said

“What abt Mr Agarwal?” Mamta took a break from her phone.
“He is GL of some another account in the US, he moved to the US two years back.” Titash said.

“Badal da, Swati ,we need some good resources for Captiva and Documentum technology. we got a good and big project in imaging.” Titash told.

“okay, we will try to provide u some good resources.” Swati replied
“From the very beginning I knew u will became a manger one day. u were the manipulator of our group, but of course the bad manipulator.” I said

“yeh I remember he used to tell that if ‘X’ project comes then ‘Y’ will be the PL..if’ ‘Z’ goes to onsite this time then definitely ‘W’ will go in the next turn..bla bla and many more.” Arnab tried to imitate titash.

“yeh, but at last all his manipulations went wrong. ” Bhaswer said.

We were all started laughing.

Scene 3

“Ok lets have the dinner.”Arnab announced.
“Bhaswar, today what is the special menu..?” Badal asked
“Chingri macher malai kofta.” Bhaswar replied proudly.
“ok this will be for everyone. what other dishes u all would like to have?” I said
Badal was the sponsor. he was throwing the treat for receiving the nobel prize.
“Badal da, I will take hilsa curry.” Swati said.

“same here.” Titash said.
“I will love to take chitol fish curry”,Arnab responded.
“I will take both.” Bhaswer smiled.

“Mutton curry.” I also announced my choice.
“Here chicken curry”, Mamta said

“Ok I will go for chital fish curry.” Badal told his choice.
Badal ordered also ful gobi, dal, aloo fry, betki macher paturi for all of us.

“After 10 yrs, however, our choice has not changed.” I thought.

We were all busy in eating, laughing, giggling and gossiping.

I noticed a young group of college goers entering the restaurant. They were 2 girls and 3 boys.I observed one of the boys had my latest novel in his hand. they sat besides our table.I tried to overhear their discussions. They had a debate on some issue.

“Chetan Bhagat is better than Mausumi Dutta. He is so sweet.” One of the girl in blue salwar shouted.

We were all paused for a moment. Titash looked at me.

I felt sad but pretended as if nothing had happened. Celebrities have to face all this things. “May be he is good but not better than Mausumi. She is a versatile writer and attracts all types of readers. She never appeared publicly. I want to meet her.” The boy replied back.

I felt a bit relaxed. We finished our dinner.
“Bhaswar, tell the boy to bring the bill.”
“no Badal da, it is a free treat for all of u.” Bhaswar answered.

“Oh that’s gr8. lets plan another treat over here. Bhaswar is our dearest friend, he will always give us free treats.” Arnab said in a joking mood.

We got ready to leave. I was still trying to eavesdrop the youngsters’ debate. I badly wanted to know their views abt me.Suddenly I felt as if someone was hitting me on my shoulder.

Scene 4

“Who’s there”, I shouted.
“Get up, it’s already 7.15 am,” Mom shouted.
“Oh! no, mom give me 5 min more..Again 201 bus.” I said
“It was my dream, its 2009 Nov. Oh! my goodness I have to reach my office within time.” I realized quickly.
“But the dream was really nice.” I murmured.
I got up from the bed and went towards the wash basin.

"Dreams are extremely important. You can’t do it unless you imagine it. We all achieve our dreams one day, definitely." I thought and started brushing my teeth

Love- The Reformer

4th October, Sunday
It’s already 11.51 pm. I have just finished my dinner and feeling sleepy. But I cannot go to bed as I am waiting for a call from my dad. Mom has already gone to bed. She’s totally tired. I don’t need to think for a while how to pass my time. I have switched on the pc- my favorite pet @my home. There are always many things to do in my pc but I prefer to write something for my blog.
Writing for my blog is my new found interest. Some of my teammates pull my legs for writing in blog. But who cares. I love to share my thoughts through my writing. But what should I write? Actually there are many things going on in my mind.

“Piyali, the phone is ringing”---mom shouted from the other room.
“Mom are you still awake?”

I again started thinking about the new topic for my blog. This weekend was really a happening one. I finished reading one novel “The Notebook” on Saturday. I watched “Wake up Sid” @ Citycenter with someone special with whom I love to spend my time with. Another significant thing which happened this weekend was that I had chatted with a friend after 7 years. All of these events enticed me to think about them atleast twice.

It’s already 12.30.am. I stood in front of the window in my room. It’s a lone street. Some stray dogs are sleeping in the street
I went to the adjacent room where my mother sleeps.

“Did your dad call?”, mom said hearing my footsteps.
“Mom don’t take tension. As he is in train he is not getting the network“, I said.
“Ok have u told your father to give a call after reaching Cuttack?”
“Yeh, mom don’t worry he will call u”.

My dad is going back to Charbatia in cuttack where he is doing job.He comes to Kolkata in every two months.

I came back to my chair and thought yes it’s absolutely right that true love never faded with age. I read in the novel “The notebook”.
Nicholas sparks’ ” The notebook” is one of the most poignant and compelling love stories I have ever read. The story starts in a nursing home with an old man reading to an old woman, whose memory is slipping with every passing day. The old man reads the story of two lovers who meet in the south at a carnival. It’s Allie and Noah ‘s love story that begins when Allie was just 17 yrs old.
They have many ups and downs in their love life but still they manage to live together. Allie breaks off the engagement with her fiancĂ© and they spend the rest of their lives together. but life is not so easy for this lovers. As the days passes Noah found it hard and hard. Allie has alzheimers and as the days are passing she is forgetting Noah. But at the age of 70 Noah doesn't give up hope and tries to give her back her memory each day. The doctors and nurses are stunned and touched. This man's undying faith sometimes fools the disease, and his love gets her memory back once in a while. Those moments they share are priceless. The old man himself is Noah who reads everyday the story of their love to get back her wife’s memory who is none other than Allie.

After reading the book I was confused. I had many questions storming my mind. is it possible that the same love exists, as they had in 17, at the age of 70s. But its true. My mom’s care and love for my dad convinced me that love is not about age. My father is going to retire in 2011. But still the same affection and caring between them is there.

5th October 11pm-Monday
The first day of this week. I never like Mondays. But this Monday was not so boring. Actually we had collected money almost 3 months ago to buy a bday gift for one of our teammates. But at last we decided to spend this money in pizza. I love pizzZZZZzzza but it must be from pizza hut. We all got two piece of pizza but it’s okay because something is better than nothing. I sometime feel software profession is not so boring if u get some cool teammates.

But of course our life is not so cool as Sid’s life .Who is Sid?? Sid is our cute Ranbir Kapoor who plays the role of Sid in “Wake up sid” opposite Konkona Sen(Aisha Banerjee). The story is an exploration of Sid and Aisha’s relationship dynamics as well as Sid waking up from the life he is living..Sid is the son of a businessman who enjoys every moment of his life. Sid is not serious at all about his life .he doesn’t have any ambition. no future plans but still his life is cool. He spends his time with his buddies. Whatever he wants he does. There is no tension of money and no tension of job for him. But life changes as time passes. The cool kid then accidentally meets Aisha Banerjee (Konkona Sen Sharma), a just-arrived girl in the Mumbai City from Kolkata and the sort who reads Murakami's Norwegian Wood and hangs Woody Allen's Annie Hall posters in her room. She is independent, focused, and gritty – something that Sid is not. But there's a kismat connection between the two. When Sid gets into a big fight with his dad over his career he moves out of his capacious home into Aisha's cuddly apartment. It is the beginning of his education about life and its realities, his first chapters of growing up. As the time passes their friendship turns into love and sid tries his level best to prove aisha that he is no more a spoilt brat but mature enough to take care of her.

Very simple and young fresh film.but many things which touch my heart. Does Love really changes one’s life??? Yeh I think so..
Love brings maturity in one’s life specially in a boy’s life. I am not telling that girls are matured since birth. But still Boys grow up to a man after falling in love. They checked their night parties, alcohol, discos, tours and trips to some extent as their responsibility increases. Anyways if love brings some discipline in their life then really it’s not a bad thing

18th October, 9.50 pm, Sunday

Today is my Birthday..Yesterday it was Diwali and tomorrow Bhai Dhuj. A really happening weekend. It is almost more than 10 days since I have completed the 2nd part of my article. And I know I have to complete the 3rd article. During the weekend I had a chat with one of my old friends. When two girls chat one topic would be there very often- their love life. After the chat I realized Arvind Adiga (The writer of “the white tiger”) is really right abt our country. According to him India can be divided into two countries. Land of brightness and land of darkness and he is absouletly right. One side we are the no 1 country in providing software services and developing softwares in the world and on the other side we still strongly believe in cast and religion. My friend and her boyfriend are in relationship for last 7 yrs but still could not tie knot because of their caste difference for which their parents are not accepting the relation. Of course parents are never wrong but their logic I am not able understand. But one thing I can say rather the good thing that I can notice in their 7 yrs relationship is that their patience. They are mature. they are financially independent. They can elope. They can even do court marriage. But they are waiting for their parent’s approval like Chetan Bhagat writes in his novel “2 States”. It’s the fact u cannot get ur love in ur life so easily.

Three different stories, but all of them related to a same thing— love; one of the finest things of our life. Yes its love in our life. I know of many people who think love is not everything .Of course love is not everything. But u can’t ignore the beautiful feeling that u have for ur partner, which teaches u to remain hopeful in life, which brings more maturity and discipline in ur life which helps u to keep ur mind cool and patience in tough time also. It’s really a g8r thing in one’s life.

Rahul in my life

It was the time when I had stepped into my teens. I was busy with my school, tuitions, exams, and friends but then there was still something missing in my life. During those days Hindi films used to influence me a lot, basically the romantic ones.  A cord somewhere in some corner of my heart went charged and got sparked. My big beautiful eyes were searching for Rahul all the time. Oops who is Rahul? He is the male protagonist in the blockbusters namely: DDLG and Dil to Pagal Hai. I was impatiently waiting for Rahul of my life, when would he come and tell me “Sanorita, bade bade desho mein choti choti bat hoti rehti hai”.(small small things keep happening in big countries)

At last that day came. I first saw him in a cricket match. In the very first sight I had fallen in love with. His attractive and innocent looks had totally mesmerized me. His cute smile made me crazy. I got fascinated by his style of playing the game. His batting was the perfect blend of elegance and power. With a lightening spark I had realized he was the love I was in search for during all these days.

Since childhood cricket was always my favorite game. I used to watch the game when my class boys were playing but that day I felt something special about the game. That night I could not sleep at all. I had never felt like that before. The more I thought, the more I was convinced that he was my prince charming. I felt, yes, it’s true that  someone somewhere was made for all, and he’s the one for whom I had been waiting for so many years. Yes, he is my Rahul.
I just counted days when I could see him again with his stylish stokes. I wanted to tell him about my feelings but I could not. He had always left the field without noticing me. Days were passing .I had managed to get some of his photos.

When I looked at the mirror I felt as if my beauty was completely for him. Earlier, I didn’t care much about my reflection in the mirror. But he had changed my life. I loved to gaze at myself in the mirror whenever I got time. Sometimes I bunked my tuitions to see his game. I started paying cricket with my juniors and friends in games period. I had used to wake up 5 am in the morning and went to the playground and practise cricket. I had convinced some of my friends and collected money with which we bought a bat and a cork ball. But life was not easy. It was just like another day and I was batting when suddenly one fast ball struck my uncovered face. My teeth got hurt. It had started bleeding and a small operation had to be conducted. I couldn’t not go to school for 10 days. I was missing my school, friends, teachers and of course my Rahul. Days were passing by and my Board Exam was nearing.

I had told my friends about my feelings and they were happy for me I had even told my grandpa. He was also happy but he was little bit worried about our age difference. He advised me to focus on studies first and told that if God wanted then my Rahul will be mine. I was busy with my preparation but even managed some time to think about him. Just the thought of him brought a huge smile on my face.

It was during our math exam day, my friends were very much nervous. Even I was nervous, but not for my exam. It was for him. That day he had a match .I completed my paper quickly and moved hurriedly to watch the match: as if I were his lucky charm and if didn’t watch it he would be out. In the evening when I sat down to review that day’s question paper I had found out that I missed one 6 marks question. But I was not bothered. Everything is fine when it is my Rahul.

I took admission in college, a new life. But still I could not forget him .And one day I came to know that he got married. It was a bolt from the blue. My whole world shattered. I was sad for days. However, I pretended to be happy in front of others, covering up my sadness and tears inside me.

Now so many years have passed. I have completed my Engineering. He has his own life, very much happy with his wife. He is now dad of a lovely sweet girl. I have completed my masters followed by a job with TCS. Life has changed. I hardly get time to watch Hindi films. Infact, romantic Hindi films have ceased influencing me anymore.

Feeling is still there for him but of course it’s not the same feeling and it’s not love any more. Life is moving so fast without getting time to stand in front of mirror for 15 mins. You people might want to know who that guy is. He is none other than our Sourav. Sourav Ganguly, the stylish left handed batsman and Indian cricket‘s most successful captain ever. Sourav Ganguly, for whom still in my heart “kuch kuch hota hai”.  After all he is my Rahul. Still I mange time to watch “Dadagiri” a Bengali quiz show being hosted by him. His pleasant appearance can make you feel good after a hectic day in office.

I would definitely tell him about my crush for him if ever I get a chance in my life.
